I am a state licensed psychotherapist, (licensed clinical social worker) who provides individual and conjoint therapy for adults, couples and children/adolescents 6 years of age and older.
I have over 30 years of experience in the behavioral health field, am a graduate of the University of Southern California (USC) School of Social Work----specialization in work with children and family, and sub-consentration (specialization) in school services. Currently I have a private practice in Victorville, California and work with a wide range of clients. In addition to my work with adults, couples, children and adolescents, I have specializations in the following: anxiety disorders, stress and anger management, depressive disorders, couples communication/parenting concerns and am a certified trauma recovery specialist.
In addition to my private practice, I've presented at various conferences and organizations in Southern California on cultural diversity, anger management and anxiety/stress management.
I'm what would be termed a solution-focused therapist; which simply means, I provide clients with support and practical feedback to assist in effectively addressing personal life challenges. Today people seek therapy to address "here-and-now" concerns and are looking for "here-and-now" solutions. In the process of addressing those "here-and-now" concerns. However, there may also be a need to review past events which may lead to present day concerns. Resolving those present concerns might be difficult without having a full review of those past events.
No matter if these are long standing past events or smaller current day challenges, it takes a great deal of personal strength to look at one's self and make changes. Whenever you're ready to take this step, feel free to contact my office. I typically retrun telephone calls within 2 1/2 to 3 hours though out the day. The office is closed Saturday afternoons, Sundays and Mondays; any Saturday afternoon and/or Monday calls are returned Tuesday mornings.
